Transformer and On Load Tap
1-2 : Transformer and On Load Tap Changer Depressurisation Sets

All Depressurisation Sets include a Rupture Disk to relieve overpressure and a Decompression Chamber to favour high-speed
    depressurisation.

Their diameter is calculated individually for each transformer and On Load Tap Changer types. In addition, transformer tank
Depressurisation Sets also include an Isolation Valve and an Expansion and Vibration Absorber.

    Explosive Gases Elimination Sets

3-4 : Transformer and On Load Tap Changer Explosive Gases Elimination Sets

They create a safe environment inside the transformer and On Load Tap Changer
oil capacities by injecting manually or automatically a strong nitrogen flow, after
depressurisation occurs. The risk of incident after the TRANSFORMER
    PROTECTOR
operation for maintenance is therefore avoided.

    Transformer and On Load Tap

    5-6 : Oil-Gas Separation Set

The Oil-Gas Separation Tank for MTP Model, and the Transformer Conservator for the CTP Model, Collects the mixture of
the depressurised oil and flammable gases. Then, it separates flammable gases from the oil. The Flammable gases are then
channelled through the Explosive Gas Evacuation Pipe to a safe location. Within reasonable spacing limits, one Oil-Gas
Separation Set may be used with multiple transformers (This applies only for the MTP Model.)

    Conservator Shutter

    7 : Conservator Shutter

When unusual oil flow from the conservator is detected, the Conservator Shutter will close automatically and prevent the
conservator from drainning. For the MTP Model, the Conservator Shutter minimizes the oil-Gas Separation
Tank size as oil remains in the conservator.

    Control Box

    8 : Control Box

Located in the plant Control Room or Relay House, it insures the logic and the TP  interfaces with all transformer
    protections.

TEST FOR THE BIGGER TRANSFORMERS

For several tests, the dynamic pressure peak speed has been divided by 10 for the tank to see the pressure up to 57 milliseconds before the TP operates, which corresponds to a shock wave travelling distance of 68 meters (223 feet), far longer than the distance on the biggest existing transformers.
